Construction : All of our newel posts, no matter which design or length, are made from solid timber. No veneers or cladding is used in the construction of our newel posts.
Newels are available in many different designs and timbers. There are three types of Newel posts available, 'Full' newel posts, 'Pin' newel posts and 'Baseposts'. A 'Full' newel post is made up of a 'Pin' newel post and a 'Basepost' that has been made together in one piece. The top square of each newel post has an optional length of 160mm or 220mm. The 220mm option is only required where more than one handrail is to be attached to the Newel post. All 'full' newel posts are available in halves, for fixing against the wall.
