Sapele, often compared to Mahogany is a much lesser known type of wood. Closely resembling Mahogany, Sapele is used across a wide range of applications and is in use within everything from stair parts to Guitars. A great alternative to hardwoods such as Oak, Sapele does not have the more traditional grain appearance of hardwood – instead the grains within Sapele are much more random, giving the wood an almost marbled effect. The wood itself is incredibly hard wearing, and incredibly tough – with great performance being recorded by our customers in the field. It’s dark appearance make it the perfect choice for creating a design element with the staircase, and we particularly like seeing Sapele Stair Parts contrasting with painted staircases.
Although many stair part manufacturers do not offer Sapele, we feel like Sapele Stair Parts provides an important part of our product line up, being an incredibly popular choice with domestic and trade customers alike. At UK Stair Parts, we have our own workshop, so can create a wide range of custom Sapele Stair Parts – we do also provide a range of off the shelf Sapele Stair Parts, which includes everything from spindles and baserails, to handrails & fixings.
As always, if you have any questions about the range – please do just get in touch and we will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have about the range.
